Children Cope With Parental Separation Seminar

The Children Cope With Parental Separation Seminar is a 2 part program designed for petitioners and respondents filing for divorce, custody, visitation and guardianship in Delaware Family Courts.  This is a mandatory educational program for parents with children 17 years or younger.  The classes are designed to help parents/caregivers learn how to best support their children during times of family change.  CHILD, Inc. currently offers the program via zoom as well as in person In New Castle County.  Each class meets for 3 hours on two consecutive weeks.  A court required Certificate of Completion is issued at the conclusion of the second class.  Individuals with a demonstrable history of domestic violence are required to attend an additional 2 hour component that focuses on issues related to intimate partner violence and the impact of violence on children.  The cost for the basic seminar is $70.00.  The domestic violence component is $20.00.  There are a limited number of scholarship seats available.

If you have any further questions, or would like to register for the seminar you can contact Laurie Sammons in the Parent Education Department on:
