CHILD, Inc.’s Mission

Since 1963, CHILD, Inc. has been helping the children and families of Delaware.  CHILD, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization that offers prevention, treatment, emergency shelter and advocacy services that strengthen families. We serve dependent, neglected and abused children and their parents. We provide programs for those involved in domestic violence situations, especially children.

CHILD, Inc.’s mission is to be the leading advocate for Delaware’s children. We provide creative prevention and treatment programs that meet the changing needs of families. How Can You Make A Difference?

There are plenty of ways that you can make the difference in the life of a child. Be A Rainbow and help CHILD, Inc. with your donation.

Each year, CHILD, Inc. identifies its neediest families in an effort to create a holiday that matters for those who would not otherwise receive gifts. The gift room is open to current clients for the holidays to select "shop" for toys/arts & crafts, games, outside toys for their children. If you are interested in donating to the room or holding a toy drive, please contact Anne at aundorf@childinc.com for more information.
CHILD, Inc. participates in the recycling cell phone fundraising program offered through Phones 4 Charity. The funds CHILD, Inc. receives for the donated phones are used to help victims of domestic violence. If you wish to donate your old cell phone and battery (no accessories accepted), please mail or drop them off between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at: CHILD, Inc., 507 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809.
